I rent a storage garage in an old manufacturing plant that was converted to rentals, storage, office space, etc. The garage is 12'x20' with a 8' wide overhead door and I pay 215.00 a month. This price is about the going rate for my area, .90 sq. ft. The prices you will hear are going to vary by the area. The demand is so high it gets rented shortly after it is vacated. The nice thing about our space it is only 2 minutes from the house. Matt

If you've got the room and an enclosed tralier just keep it in there and just back the rear door up to something so it can't open an dtry to do the same for the side door.

I rent a 15x30 warehouse/shop for $250/mo. It usually goes up 10-15% every March. I may stay there another year and look elsewhere in '07 since room is becoming sparse.

Wow, a 10x20 around here is in the low $200's...mine went up from $214 to $235 in Sept.

A 10x30 is well over $300 :dizzy:

We rent two shops from an old farmer who doesn't use them any more. Each are about 20' wide, 45' deep, and 40' high. They have shelves, electric, work benches, and we have use of some of his old machinery (e.g. metal chop saws, air compressor, etc.) We pay $100 per month for each bay / shop. It's a great deal!

Yeah mines kinda high too, and I have totally outgrown it but it is in a great easy access area and right off the Interstate. It is 5,500 Sq Ft (100'Lx55'W) heated, cooled with two offices and two restrooms, security outdoor lighting, fire and burglar alarm and shelving. Cost me $1500.00 a month and has since 1993. I am currently looking for something in the 15K Sq Ft range though.

I rent an old blacksmith's building about 3 miles from my house.
First area is 30X50 and has a newly renovated bathroom, second area is 30X30 and has a locked storgae area. The two are seperated by a wall.
Additionally, I have about 40X80 parking area.
All for $250 month plus power as water is free.
The building was completely rewired, new panel, overhead lights, 230V plugs where I wanted them for the welder and compressor.
The owner lets me dump all of my organic debris, ie tree limbs, clippings, etc, in a huge pile at the rear of the lot for later chipping.

You mean a great steal, right Jim?:)

Yes, it is a steal. But not all that uncommon around Oregon. In the city, shop rent is definitely spendy. But where I live is right on the border of the metro-area and the wide open country. And out in the country, space is a whole lot cheaper. So we're fortunate to be able to have a nice big shop space that is just outside of town for, yes, a steal.

I pay $311 per month for a 20 by 30 with 4 doors. I just moved into it this month from a 10 by 30, which ran me around $285 a month. I also had a 10 by 15 for $80 a month because I ran outta room, so I moved up in space and down in price. The new space is huge and I love it and I barely know what to do with myself with all that room.

28' x 32' pole barn on 2 acres, bought and paid for. No inside bathroom, but lots of space and many trees for that!!
