I would be interested in seeing some of the signs used on trucks and trailers. I know from experience artwork can be time consuming and expensive... yet worth it overall. Thanks.

had a 22x64" magnet made for the back of my new f350 to protect the tailgate, and i can "leave" the company on the weekends or in the winter. Also have 12x24"s for the sides.

And this is what I have on my trailer. Next season I have to make a quick attachement system for the trailer since my neighbors complained about me having a commercial trailer on the property. http://www.lawnsite.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=44353&stc=1&d=1132091002

My neighbors filed a complaint directly with the town that I was running a business out of the house, You're not allowed to park commercial vehicles overnight in residential... (visible) or so it appeared.

the Zoning Guy came by and told me to just pull the signs off the trailer for now since I use it for personal stuff too. They've been building so many mcmansions around that they even changed us to 3acre zoning (1 acre lot). Since we're now 3 acre zoned you are allowed to park 1 commercial vehicle outside (visibly). So my PITA neighbors actually helped clear something up for me, I wave to them now... only with one finger. at least :)

I like it too. Everyone notices/comments on it. the logo is actually a little different than my regular one, but thats only to maximize the usable horizontal space. it's really right in your face if you're behind me (w/o trailer) cause the truck sits so high.

I must admit that is my second one, i lost the first one on the highway in the rain w/ the gate down. I suspect water worked itself under an exposed edge (first was a little too tall) and then the wind sheared it off.

do you have "Cutouts" for the ford and f250 decal?

yes, they make the magnet normally then cut out the emblems and for the handle. you can see the drop shadows below/around them, the second one i got is a much better fit, however its still not perfect unfortunately.
and its a f350 btw.

Wow nice rig man. Looks good with the signs. I work at a sign shop on the weekends and during the winter months. You got some money in those signs. I just got a new enclosed trailer and am having trouble deciding what I want to put on there. I want it to be an eye catcher and something out of the norm.

thanks SFL,
My suggestion is to just put your name/#/www on the back like I have as big as possible, around here if people do have their truck lettered its usually 12x24" magnets like i have on the side, which is boring and looks hack'd by itself. The rear sign really sets me apart from other people.

Also, i leave my lights on all day when i'm in the truck working, if i go into the deli i leave them on. I've had a few people come up to me (wearing my company shirt) and say "excuse me you left your lights on" I always thank them and act like i'm going to turn them off when i go out to the truck. Hopefully that'll make them remember my truck.

Led's on the trailer also really grab peoples attention too.

I have 2 of the trailer signs (one is on the side gate). they were $85/ea, big mag was $105 (huge price break), 2 small ones were $60? i think. then I got one more little one on the driverside of the trailer with my #/www.
is it worth it? absolutely.

this is what the truck looked like in the fall, I had painted the lettering on the leaf box, the picture is my experimenting picture I played with on the computer. The signs on the door were small, too small.

This is kind of what I want to do for this year. I want some sort of grass graphic on the bottom of the truck, the phone number up on the fenders, services listed on the bed, and get new signs for the doors with my logo just bigger. I'm friends with a girl that is starting a graphics shop so she does all my signs cheap.

I was thinking of putting my whole business card designyour card is nice. i think i might drop the pond pump, filter, liners, water treatments stuff if you put that on the back gate. the blue will be an excellent contrast for your # or www address (i see you have an excellent looking website at a quick glance). Let them see your work before they call, it weeds them out. The truck you have will determine the artwork, work with the artist to do a sketch and he/she should come up with something that'll tickle your funny bone.

also, I had recessed areas under the emblems which is why i left them on in the first place, if you have a flat tailgate i would de-badge it and lay all vinyl if possible.

You want them to remember the important part "KDC" the "lawn care, llc" is just extra, no need to emphasize it.

stateline thanks..
I have a 04 2500hd without going outside i think my tailgate is fairly flat with nothing on it as far as emblems.
I think im leaning towards the solid vinyl.

yea, the 2004's should have "Silverado" + "Chevrolet" letters, no indents. that'd make an excellent tailgate to wrap. what color is your truck?

BSD, I was thinking of a way to make the logo and name larger but I couldn't do it on my computer with the mirror in the way. Thats basicly what I want the way you did it. then just center the lawncare under it. Thanks for the idea.
