grande tall fescue decline

used grande tall fescue this year with poor results.the plant died off on each property.
what i intended to do was to introduce the grande tf into problem lawns that had a past history of sod web worm and chinch bug damage..b

I have used grande and grande 11 in mixes exlusively for about 5 years -- the lawns have alaways stayed beautiful. Have put down about 15,000 pounds. Only hadone lawn not look perfect -- and ended up finding that another company accidently sprayed the uaard 1 week after germination.

I would switch over to the Trophy. Excellent results on lawns that we slice seeded this fall.

I used TROPHY this season also and the lawns look great.(trophy has grande in it)
i used grande stright and the grande plant declined..:realmad:

I know Grande is in the Trophy mix, but I forget what it is off the top of my head....

the trophy worked out well.i am going to use it next season also.
the grande turned to crap.
if it took, i think it would have improved the turf. it has a rhizomatous growing trait ,which in some turf damange it would be self healing.
