I will soon have to go find a temporary job because of Ebay and staying on the computer too much!:D

I have numerous projects to work on around the house but no money during the winter.

maybe I'll get a few more leaf removal calls..

I do all my back office type work in the winter....
Evaluate all the individual accounts, crunch the numbers, do the books, accouting and taxes.

I also used to do a lot of legwork towards signing new commercial sites.

Plan strategy for next season, i.e. new way to market services, new incentives for customers, wordsmith letters, etc.

Like Envy, crunch #'s, evaluate my business needs, evaluate costs and how to hold and better yet reduce them.

Lift weights, hunt, computer games, time with family and getting home projects done.

My whole year has been the off season practically. I am getting a hort. degree and started volunteering (okay for the wrong reason). I might have to break down and get a job if things don't start looking better.

I cant stand to not be buisy. I got a delivery job runnin around from home depot to home depot in my own truck. I make a few buck from dec to mid feb doing that, and it keeps me sain.then I always quit and start getting ready for spring around mid feb.Thats when I start preping my machines and getting the paper work set up. I do alot of bidding and marketing all thu the winter as well.

I've been a bum pretty much in the past, not doing anything. Up all night, sleep all day. I can't stand that anymore and I'm trying to break myself of that this winter. I might get a job just to keep myself on a more regular schedule. There's a lot to do, I just have to get off my ass and do it.

Study!!! Learn how to keep better books and basically anything on how to run the business better. Work on other projects also. Plan on replacing some hinges on a basket for the trailer, build a water cooler rack and a backpack blower rack. I am still working full-time, but plan on quitting that in the spring.

 I like to get things fixed that have been neglected over the summer, Try to line up new accounts, things like that. Outside of work I try to snowmobiling when ever possible. Eventhough this winter hasn't been to good for me yet. One of my favorites is to go out on lake st. clair and help my buddy the plummer with his drag sled. Thats always a good time!

This winter has been nothing but learning for me. All i've been doing is getting books and reading lawnsite. Its scarey that I sit here the day before January and think "oh wow I need to hurry up with the marketing plan, late March is going to be here before I know it"

I still need to finish some stuff with the trailer, build a b/p blower rack, fix up the box on the front of the trailer, get a sign for the back of the trailer. Thats about it though, new mower will be purchased a couple weeks into the spring and a new truck will be purchased mid season. So no use spending money on signage for the current truck.
