my new found picture posting skills. these are before and after shots of a house that we did a total renovation on. we gutted the property and did everything from scratch. I did everything except the stoop/walk and driveway.

Did you renovate the dogs in the first picture or did the owners want them removed also??? :p

I shaved them down and replaced their fur with nice tall fescue sod and some purple phlox on the tail and collar area. the owner is really happy with how it came out!:p

Well it looks like a whole lot of work and a hard job.For doing what the customer requested you did a great job.I just have to say that I would have refused to remove the mature trees in the front anyway.Or I would have done my very best to talk them out of removal. The reason being is that by removing beutiful old tree's he actually lowered his property value rather than retained and raised it with the new landscaping.I always second guess a customer such as this. The job looks great though and I am sure you had not much say so in the plan.

I agree about the trees. I like a few well placed trees in the front yard but less in the back. The customer wanted NOTHING!! he wanted a very clean look and thats what he got. I would have left the big old pine in the front, it had a nice look and created some good shade. the maple would have come down no matter what. it would have torn up his driveway and walk. we widedned the driveway by about 4' so it was in the way.

As for the dog, my kids saw it and now I will be paying for therapy forever!!

Guess it should have had a disclaimer warning: "May cause nightmares in some children." :p

I think that is the dog that used to be known as "The World's Ugliest Dog". I read an article about it a few months back when it died. Hard to believe something could be that hideous looking. Still gives me the creeps every time I see it.

Reminds me of something out of "Tales From the Crypt."
