Used Great Dane Chariot

Hi all. I looked at a one year old 61" Great Dane Chariot with a 25 Kohler with 280 hours on it today. It's being sold because the co. no longer does mowing. Asking price $5500. My biggest concern is that there seems to be less Dane dealers around every time I check. Do you find the same thing in your area?
What are your thoughts on this? Does the price sound right?

I don't think that will be a problem with the recent buyout of Dane by John Deere. I would buy with absolute confidence!!

My only concern would be the 25 hp Kohler, I would check and see if the head gasket problem has in fact been a problem or has been fixed. Sounds like a good deal.

head gaskets and short lifespan of 25 horse kohler- 1000 hours or so, make me pause. Dave g

sounds great but that 25 would worry me to much.

Ive got one just like it, go for it. As far as the kohler find a local repair shop that does kohlers and tell him the details. He'll probly back you it you do ever have troubles.
