As some of you might know I was painting my mower deck here is how it looks now. I wonder if I'm the 1st person to bondo a mower? Every part was taken off and cleaned or replaced.

That looks real good.

I think if it were me I would have applied the do it your self bed liner, the good stuff.

Although its expensive that stuff is hard to beat, completely stops rust and deadens noise.

If I ever get time my new Z is getting the deck coated in that stuff.

Did you use a spray gun, or a spray can? You did better than I could do with either!

Looks great! I wanted to do that to my older Exmark but I have zero time. Did you do the rest of the mower or is that the next project?:waving:

perhaps you need to think about painting professionally...or offer that as a service :)

Thanks!
I used spray paint and the primer is a special rust and corrosion stopper spray paint.

The power unit I'm not going to paint it just needed a good cleaning.

The deck was pretty rough, and needed alot of very deep scratches filled.

There was a ton of things to take off of the deck before painting and what sucked is after it dried I ran out of time to put it back together. Then guessed what happened I had a customer call wanting there lawn cut, so I had to throw it back together fast. Now I just need to get some stickers ordered, its a good idea to take your whole mower apart so you can fix parts before it shuts you down.

On the power unit I used brake cleaner it brings back the shine and gets off any grease or dirt, on the deck before painting I used power washing degreaser it was purple in color.

The 1st thing is just reg brake cleaner. I will have to read the degreaser bottle tomorrow but another good 1 to use is simple green if you don't have a power washer.

It does, the power washer and that cleaner is a great combo.
