One of the Lawnsite members drew up a plan on a trailer like this last year. It is a slick set up, but I would think the price would be a lot. I notice there is no price on these.

I may contact them to see the $$$$ of an average model.

Looks good, but there's not much hauling capacity. You could maybe fit one walkbehind on it.

without a tailgate if anything gets loose its hitting the car behind you.

The torsion suspension is also nice .I'm going to incorporate that suspension in my next trailer, smoother ride less bouncing when empty (although not usually empty)

I have thought about torsion suspensions. Do they make any with the weight capacities required for a 16ft landscape?

Usually they start at 1000lb(per axle) up to 3500lb(per axle) .I just talked to a spring guy and he said it should handle a 16' trailer as long as you dont intend to overload it .With in it's range it is a great suspension setup.

I am the one who drew up the plans last year. Here is a web site. It didn't go anywhere because it can not be made in two axle. also, there is a width limit because the trailed must fit between the wheels. On the plus side, it is a simple design so it shouldn't be to expensive to build. And it has air ride suspension. As good as you can get for ride. Note that I did add a automatic safety tail gate.

That is a very unique trailer, have you actually built one or is it still in planning?

Just about every enclosed trailer I've seen has torsion suspension.

I set it aside because the list didn't seem to think it was the right answer. I would be happy to build one or would consider licensing some one to build one. I have chosen the components and checked them with the manufacturer. The design is complete. (Mechanical design is what I do for a living. )

I see you are in upstate NY. Let's talk.

Interesting design, like the air spring idea. I have seen rollbacks and tilts for backhoes and tractors, but none w/ air suspension! Dave g

The difference here is that the air suspension IS the tilt system. A lot less parts that way. Also the tilt starts at the hitch, not in the center of the trailer so the tilt angle is very small.
BTW I have managed to get the width up to 77 in.

I think that torsion axles are available up to 7,000 and maybe 10,000 lb capacities. I'm using a single 3,500 lb. under my trailers and love them.
