All I can say is WOW nice job man!
yes it was mowed using a Walker. :)
I should have took a pic before....there were quite a few leaves on the lawn.
The second pic angles were mowed first then i cut the angles in the top pic. Didn't have to double cut really, I just like the stripes from all angles.

I feel like I'm in the twilight zone here. Isn't it January? I thought Oklahoma was just as cold as anywhere else.

Do they make stripe kits for Walkers?

I don't know. The way that I could tell it was a Walker was by the tire marks. That is why I was wondering whether you could put a stripe kit on it.

super J-O-B.
I dont know about the stripe kit......we have mainly bermuda around here and it doesnt stripe well so it wouldnt be useful most of the time.
The yard is overseeded with annual ryegrass and you can probably see the other yards around it are all dormant. It sure stands out on the street!

By the way. The stripes look awesome!!
It won't let your pm's work I think because you only have 14 posts. You might ask one of the moderators about this.

They make a rear wheel kit to get rid of the third wheel line going down the center. The kit replaces the third wheel with a wheel on each side that follow in the front wheels path.

does it get in the way at all though. Do you have any pictures of it?
I think this is what he is talking about
here is what Walker says about it:
* Optional bolt-on kit replaces standard tail wheel with "wide" axle configuration
* Advantages: Tail wheels track behind drive wheels eliminating the middle tail wheel track, also a little smoother ride (articulating axle leverages bumps)
* Disadvantage: Tail wheels on outside corners interfere with maneuvering for close-in work and trimming
* Center-line tail wheel will be maintained as factory standard configuration, spread axle is a dealer or customer installed kit
* Order Kit #7420-3 (Note: Kit #7420-8 must be installed when installing this kit on Model MDD)

my next question, wouldn't that tear up the turf more with how that is placed under the catcher unit?
I don't know about that. I have never been around that, just seen it on walkers site. Walker doesn't seem too proud of it really.
You have to be careful with the one tail wheel especially on wet ground or it will dig in. Any mower will tear up turf it it's too wet or not used properly I guess.

I agree, the one wheel would tear up as well. I just have been a little fishy of how all the weight is on that end and doesn't cause problems
Mine has a little over 300 hours and no problems so far. The tail wheel uses bearings like a front wheel of a car. The dealer cautioned me about this so I would not over-grease it. He said the seals are like a car's also and too much grease will blow them out. Also, I have read on other threads here that Walker used to have a problem with the framework breaking around the tail wheel but they beefed that up over the past coulple years to take care of that problem. Mine is a '05 and seems to be fine. I agree that is a LOT of weight when you get 9.5 bushels of green wet grass in that box.
We also have a grasshopper with the 3rd wheel like that and the walker's is a lot beefier looking.
