Ok here is the situation, now the customer is a large homebuilder (this is his residential house, its beautiful) and says that he wants to get the materials, so I will be just providing labor.

60 yards of mulch, and about 750 feet of edgeing.
very few weeds, and the edgeing wont be bad with my stick edger

40 yards of woodchips, very simple job. basically just dump and spread

i was thinking about about 1000 for the woodchips and 2400 for the mulch. so say about 3400 total, what do u all think, is this competitive?

by the way this is the biggest job i have ever done

I figure you have 25 man-hours spreading mulch and woodchips provided the materials are delivered close to the jobsite. The homeowner is providing materials, so I assume s/he will be getting them to the jobsite also?

Im not sure what you mean by edging? Installing plastic/metal edging, or just cutting sod? Either way, a days labor max.

So based on my time estimates, what do you think your price is, competitve or not?

If they are having the mulch delivered then $50 per yard.
$3000. I'm not real sure about the edging your questioning?

I get that much labor and materials. I understood the mulch was being provided by the customer, correct me if im wrong. If your market gets that for just labor, here i come baby!
