A friend of mine. I was thinking same thing but cant decide what kind of color. Any suggestions? Also for just using as a logo do you think putting just name kinda curved around pic look good?

I love it. You don't necessarily want to have too much color because then it will cost you more when you are doing t-shirts, business cards, etc. It is best to keep it at a 2 to 3 color logo. Another thing that graphics people might tell you sometimes too that helps me out, use the same color, just different shades of it

maybe some red or orange on the wheelbarrow and shovel??
maybe a color on your name or number, or landscaping?
looks good.

I like it. Its good. Some color on the shovel and wheelbarrow would give it some pop though.

I agree with everyone else when they say some color and I would not curve the name as you suggested earlier.

I like it. I don't think adding color is going to be better myself. Ill wait and see.

When I was talking about curving the name around the pic I am talking about when using it on shirts and so on

Think your friend would want to design myself one as well??? Let me know if its a professional or just someone doing it on the side. I'm looking to get a professional logo done up soon!

Landscaping is spelled wrong you missed the D. But other wise it looks great

I like it a lot. Fix the D like mentioned above, also I would lose the email address. If you had a website, then I would put it there

Personally, I don't like it. I think it looks like a higher-end peice of clip art attatched to a business card. I would go back to the drawing board.

I'm a doofus in training on the logo stuff...but i've already stepped in some other theads on logos.....so here's my opinion.

Nix the outline around the picture and around the "Shives Landscaping"....use a drop shadow to give it depth/pop.

Lemme stare at it a while and i'm sure i'll think of more :)

but I think that outline is what makes it pop out and draws your attention to it

Help I want to make my business cards resemble my door magnet as far as logo and fonts. How can I do this?

So you're going to send it to the printer with the word LANDSCAPE spelled wrong??? Is this a new "marketing" strategy or something? If you want that logo to stand out, add some color. It is just way too blah. Take yor time with design...you only do it once. Personally, I think the picture is a bit too busy. What I would do also, is put a nice yellow sun in behind the tree (like a sunrise). It is a proven fact that evn the CONNOTATION of sunshine lifts peoples' spirits and moods - even at a glance. The selling power increases with that as well. It has been tested in market research and through focus groups,...and everyone always agreed that they felt that sunshine improves the company image and connotes energy.

I say keep it the way it is now, looks great! Nice idea. Put that "D" in landscape before you do anything. It says lanscape. Look at it closely.

Also, on yourt first one? Your number style is much better. It is just so much easier to read. Don't make the mistake of a nice sign and an uneasy to read number. I did that. I gave the people a beautiful sign to read, and you couldn't even make out the number. Huge mistake. I'm going through this all over again with a cleaning company I am forming.
