Gidday I just brought an olathe seeder model 93. I was wondering what is the correct procedure for overseeding and seeding newly graded areas.
We do alot of lawn installations using a bobcat skidsteer, rotadairon, levelling bars etc and a spreader for seed, fert.
We wanted an overseeder to increase our germination rates and to be able to address areas that are thin without having to work the ground again.
The olathe seeder is 5 ft wide, 3pt mounted, 18 discs with seed shoots.
What are the basics I need to keep in mind when using this?

well you need to keep in mind the amount of seed that needs applied per thousand square feet . i overseed alot here in kentucky with fesue an we usually run about 6-7 pounds to the thousand square foot. rule of thumb is to cut that in half an cross seed so that the blend is more uniform across the entire lawn, also make sure you keep the proper depth ,here i usually run about a half inch deep . i hope an wish you great luck if you have anymore questions feel free thanks george
