I have a small mostly mowing business in NH. Ive heard people talk about lisences for spreading fertilizer. I spread Scotts granular fertilizer and am not familiar with any restrictions on a granular fertilizer. Does anyone know where I can find info on my states rules, or does anyone in NH know? I dont want to be fined. THANKS!

Welcome to Lawnsite.I notice your mystery location in your profile, but you tell us your in NH? in your post.I dont live in NH,but in nY,you can spread fertilzer all day without a license, since it is not a pesticide.I would think your laws would be similar.Any weed-n-feed products or insecticide/fertilizer combo's are pesticides, and require an applicators license to apply for profit.
