My new generator, its a Petter diesel 6Kw I don't know what year it is. It fires right up and it has a pto so I could run something too. I got it for only $375.:)

That looks like a great deal. Probably good on fuel.

It seems to be good on fuel but the bad part with it is you can't move it until the ground is froze because it weighs over a ton.

I think I would rig some type of wheel system up. I have a 10.5k watt gas burner, and we rigged up some nice 6" casters for it with locks.

I'll bet every one can here that thing.

It's a single cylinder right?

I have heard the Hatz engines and they have a unique sound.

How bad is it starting in cold weather?

I started it at 40 degrees no problem.
It is a single cylinder, and a beast.

How do you start it?I have a old wisconsin air cooled diesel and that thing has a hand crank to fire it up.it fires on the first crank and like yours, you can hear the old girl running two blocks away.I need to find a muffler for it.

It has electric start and it takes a car batt.
