Need general advice on relaying grass

I have a slight ignorance of the amount of sand that I would require to put under 1 sqm of Turf (ready grown grass) they call it Tepe in Spanish, but I dont know the name in English. I have experience in reseeeding, seeding and care of lawns , but never in the laying of pre grown. I have turned down clients that have previously asked me for budgets for fear of not being able to do the job, but a new client has asked me and its a small enough job (30sqm).

You want to put down a mixture of sand,compost and local top soil .I don't know centimeters can you tell me how many sq feet?Do not put down just sand
it drains too fast and has no nutritional value

Its about two sqare feet.

just throw down some topsoil ,firm it up and throw down your piece and step on it and water it and keep it moist tell it roots.

one square meter is 100cm x 100 cm.

Yeah, I would just throw down some top soil and lay the grass on the top then roll/step it out. Very simple.

In English it is called SOD. Pronounced the way it is spelled.
