Has anyone given their customers an info card to fill out while you were doing the estimate? Info asked for on their card would be.

Name
Address
Phone
City, St
Best time to call

How did you about us?

Would you like to receive a follow up call following this estimate?

Would you like to receive info on future specials?

What do you guys think? Would the customer be put off by having to do this? Would there be any other things you might add?

I don't hand over a card for them to fill out. Instead, I have an estimate sheet on a clipboard. You normally will have the majority of information from the inital phone call.

I have an estimate sheet on a clipboard as well. Maybe I should just add the additional things to my estimate sheet and ask them.

Agreed, collect all the info you want on the initial phone contact and estimate sheet.
