I'm planning on slit seeding a customers front lawn. I know it will look pretty ugly for a week or two. After two weeks I'll rake and fertilize. It has been suggested that I fert. on the same day as the slit seeding. What do you think. When would it be safe to apply weed control?

I agree with AWM, starter fertilizer the day you slit seed and don't use weed control until you have actually mowed the grass that comes up, 4 times. I am assuming that this is an over seed job, so I would wait til around 6 weeks for the weed control.
