encapseed use?

Has anyone used this product for seeding? www.encapseed.com I had a contractor do some seeding for me and he used this stuff... it was unreal. It is commonly used instead of straw and repels large amounts of water to prevent washout. It also tells the landowner when the seed needs water by the shade of the product.

Yeah I've used it. It's okay for small touchups like plow damage etc.
