How does the deck hold up on the Deere Z? I was looking at them less summer and the overall look and apperance of the deck was cheesy IMO! The deck dosen't even look good and tough enough to be on a standard lawn tractor. Am I wrong?????
Also, How does it do overall and what size engine/deck is it?

The 7 Iron deck is one of the, if not the best out on the market IMO. I ran run for a day, 757 mower w/ 60in deck, just an amazing cut with very minimal discharge. The extra height inside the deck really allow the clippings to be chopped up well.

The 2305 and 997 are in storage...I will try to get some pics here soon. The 2305 only has 1 hour on it; it got delivered and I used it once to play with the loader in the snow and it went to storage. The 7-IRON deck is the best deck out there IMO...It's built like a rock. Awesome clipping dispersal (Shoots out about 10 Feet) and cuts great. These decks will last forever. Here's the breakdown on everything.....
737 -- 23hp Kawasaki, 54" 7iron deck
997 -- 31hp Yanmar Diesel, 72" 7iron deck
425AWS -- 21hp Kawasaki, 54" deck w/ MC519 Cart
2305 -- 24hp Yanmar diesel, 62" deck, Loader

The Deere ZTR is the best mower money can buy. When your cutting, the deck gives awesome striping effect, very, very good clippings dispersal, and cuts great. I have cut after a pouring rain, which I dont like to do, and there was not one clump anywhere in the property. The engines give out plenty of power and the 7IRON decks are built great. That deck could be ran into cement curbs all day and all it would do is scratch the green paint! Seriously, if anyone is in the market for a new mower, demo a Deere and you will be buying one!:)

The trailer is made by Loadtrail....7x18 split gate, brakes on both axles, breakaway kit, lots of clearance lights, 5K coupler, Bulldog jack, pulls nice.
Got it for $2195.00 from NITE Equipment, Pecatonica, IL (815) 239-9096.
They have the bset prices anywhere and will work with you. :) Thanks for the comments everyone!:)

Sure....but your gonna hate me cause I stole the 997. The 737 was $7600. Now the 997. This mower was bought at the same time as my 2305, and the dealer had never sold any commercial ZTR's, except to me and one other 757. He was happy to sell me the 997 as long as I cleaned her up and brought it to the dealership for his open house. That was easy, it sits now with 10hrs. on it. Anyway, I agreed, and I got it for $11250.:) :)

I hate to be the one to tell you but you really didn't get as great a deal as your dealer lead you to believe. Cause here a New 2004 737 54" 23HP could have been had for $6800 all day long and still are only around $7000-$7100 for 2005-06 and I only paid $7350 for my 2005 60" 25 HP 757's. I also got my 997 for $10,795.00

If your going with Hustler Z's, I would go with something a little bigger than the Fastrak; I've just never been to impressed with them.

Was in the market for a new ZTR in 2005. Demo'ed 6 brands from 3 dealers throughout the summer. The 717Z John Deere we demo'ed twice as we did the Z219 Bobcat. Took delivery of my new Z219 Bobcat 52" Ztr on 07-08-05 and never looked back! Better features and held hillsides better than the John Deere, the Bobcat was $1000 less expensive! I was impressed with the JD 7-iron deck though. For the ultimate mower I would install the 7-iron JD deck on my Bobcat mower! Both mowers striped and mowed superior to the other brands that we tried. The Toro mower especially was a big disappointment, the "Turbo-Force" Toro deck was terrible cutting wet grass where the Bobcat AND the Deere really shined.

That is one downfall to the Deere's......hill side stability. Just never feel 100% comfortable with the Z's.
