I need to pick up a small chainsaw. The echo 3450 seems like a reasonably priced saw.

Alamia has it for $259 (there are several on ebay new for under 200)
Anybody have the experience ?

I'm seriously thinking about getting a Poulan Pro 260 from Lowe's. I've talked to a couple people who have them and they really like it. For $158 with a case and a extra chain, it's definitely cheap enough. I know I'll play heck getting service if I buy it from Lowes. I have a big Stihl that I bought after my others got ripped off. I thought if I get a cheapy and carry it with me on the jobs and it gets ripped I won't be out of as much. I may still buy a small Stihl just so I won't have 2 different brands.
i agree the echo is a fine little saw.they have
their niche locked up i think. I HAVE THE PRO 260
GREATFULL, EXCELLENT CHEAP SAW, MUCH BETTER THAN GREEN COUNTER PART POULAN.ONE THING IT TENDS TO VAPOR LOCK IN HOT WEATHER.BUT NO BIGGEE,IT AINT STIHL THOUGH.LUCK TO YOU
Echo is a very good small saw. Look into a husky too (big or small)
