making full color flyers has become much too expensive for me. how would i go about making a black and white flyer? and what color paper should i print it on. i would like to be able to print them at home on a laser printer, but i can also go to staples and print them for 7 cents each. advice is appreciated

I went to staples and used lime green paper with black lettering, they came out really nice.

This is a major question I have been wondering about too.

Staples, black and white, economy paper is .02 after 2,000 copies, get 2 flyers per page and have them cut so basically ur flyers cost .01 cent a piece, can't get much cheaper than that, GOOD LUCK!!!

I purchased a Brother HL-5140 LASER PRINTER, and a few toner cartridge refills off ebay. I've had the thing for about 8 months and have already printed about 10,000 flyer with it. It's still going strong!

I figure that staples does double-sided B&W for $.07/each.

at 10,000 flyers that's $700!

Well the printer only cost me $150, the ink is cheap as dirt when you buy toner refills on ebay, and you can find reams on paper for nothing when you shop sales!

However I do take MY printed flyers to staples for tri-folding. They charge $.02/each for folding.

A folding machine may be a good investment for you. Around the cost of 15000 folded flyers.

I got a laserjet 2200 for 100 on ebay. works great and prints 500 in about 6-8 mins. the folding part sucks though. I honestly had a few buddies come over. Got sloppy drunk and we all folded about 1000 flyers each. It was cheaper and more fun than keeping a rip-off printing company in business.

I'm talking about quality. Not some POS! The problem with the smaller ones is they only hold a few papers, some only do one at a time. I'm sending out a few hundred statements a month in the season and I hate folding.

Wow, I'm sorta glad I'm still new in the business and don't have to worry about that many statements. Hah, I'm only sending out about 20 a month.
