Hi,

I just bought a 2003 GMC 350 Doramax Diesel, 4 wheel drive and would like your feedback on the pros and cons of this type of vehicle.

Thank You,

I have an 03' GMC Sierra 250HD D/A regular cab... I have no complaints about the truck. Love everything about it... Plenty of power and good mileage... It's a great work truck.

I have the same truck in a 2004, and 2005. Best and most durable truck on the market. You will enjoy 16-18MPG and a transmission that will go the distance. Make sure you take it in for the 30K check ups, have the injection cleaned and run Stanadyne diesel fuel conditioner. The brakes will go 100K before you need to check them, but since it is new to you, check them so you know what you got.

Other than that, drive it and make money.

There are no CONS. GMC and Chevy have the BEST power train on the market.

Agreed. Part of the reason for feeling that way is that GM owners don't have their heads stuck in a blue bubble breathing all that noxious gas skewing their views. Since my head is no longer in that bubble, I can breath, think and see much more clearly.

LOL, IMO GM may not always best this or that or be the most innovative, but YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG WITH A CHEVY. Chevys a good truck even in there bad years.

Presently NO-ONE has a better engine transmission combo, DODGE has a better diesel, but they lack a GREAt transmission.

Ford has a better BODY STYLE...go figure.

GM makes the best all around package.clapping

I come from a GM family, but shouldnt you have been asking these questions, BEFORE you baught the truck.....

I am worried that My uncle might loose his dealership, its been in th fmaily since my great grandfather. Things aren't looking too peachy for GM right now..

My truck of choice was the 2500 chevy HD...late 90's body style.....

I got an 03' GMC D/A crew cab. I can't really add much more beyond what has been said. If there is a better pickup built I have not run it. Thats why I have three D/As. I will say that I believe that the LB7 is a better motor than the LLYs. Now Uniscaper if we can just get you out of the "CAT Yellow" bubble we'll have accomplished something.

I bought an 04 this summer. The only con I can find, it is real slow in reverse. Might drive me nuts plowing.
