I hope it is not a 6.0.

No its the 7.3 power stroke. I had a 99 regular cab and scaled back last year and went with a smaller pickup. This season though I have decided to build the business more and needed to go back to a larger truck. The 7.3 is a proven power house.

Just a hunch, but is it in Texas? How much you pay for it and how many miles?

Do YOU actually own a 6.0 to know what you are really talking about...

Lawnworks, yes it is from Texas as it does appear there are alot of trucks similiar to this one from down around that area. Is there some concern because it is from the Texas area? It is supposed to be a one owner and looks very well taken care of.

Not sure and it may not be what he is saying at all, but the vast majority of the flood damaged vehicles from Katrina, esp trucks from are being "title cleaned" and disposed of in Texas according to the Feds.

A CarFax report "may" let you know if it is one of them or not depending on a) if insurance paid off on vehicle and/or b) how well they cleaned the title. If Ins didn't pay CarFax will NOT have a report that it is a flood vech

But those big brush guards on the front are also a "Texas" thing :)

I need one like that myself. those are AWESOME trucks. just be aware of the cam position sensor problem, I dont know if they resolved that on your model year or not, but you might want to be aware of it.

You can tell its from Texas by the vehicle inspection stickers on the windshield on the drivers side.

Very nice way to start off the 2006 season...too bad it's a Ford though!

The brushguard was the giveaway... I swear every other truck in Texas has one. I actually bought a dodge off ebay from Texas w/ a ranchhand bump... so it was just a hunch! If it is a one owner deal... sounds like a good buy.

I had a 99 model earlier that I put 197k miles on and never had a problem with the cam sensor. However a buddy of mine has an 01 model and has had to replace a couple and keeps a spare in the dash. Go figure?

Well it has been a little over a week and this truck is really paying off. Sheshovel liked it but was still unsure considering it was a Ford. Needless to say after taking her for a ride and demonstrating to her how it felt being hit from behind using the "Bull Bumper" I think she is in love.

yeap and the texas state emblem on the bumper plus it is Big I got rid of my 99 F250 with the 7.3 and sometimes I wish I had it back mainly because #1 it would be paid for by now
#2 it got better fuel mileage
but that is minor stuff the 04 I have as been a great machine so far no problems with the 6.0 except has a diesel drink problem but when you mash the gas you had better be hanging on and it is stock no mods (yet ) Good luck and congradulation

Very good looking truck. The first thing I thought of was Texas Truck, only because of the Ranch Hand bumpers. Great insurance in minor fender benders, plus, they just look bada$$. You it takes a real truck like a Ford, ok, and maybe a few Cummings powered Dodges to look right with bumpers like that. Keep those pretty little chrome ones shined up Chevy/GMC boys...........lol.
As far as being flooded, I live about 150 miles due north from New Orleans and have been waiting to hear some horror stories on people buying cars only to find out later that they were flooded. I have not heard of one, not even one!
All our TV stations have action lines and love getting involved if someone gets screwed and still, havent heard anything. ENJOY THE NICE NEW RIDE!!!!

Nice truck.

Those ranch hand grilles are bada$$. I have one on my truck that a friend gave me. He got hit head on and the other guys insurance bought him a new one. I have the one that got hit head on and you can hardly tell.

Enjoy!

For some reason I imagined you saying those two words over and over, Bull, Bull, Baby, Baby of course intermixed with some deep gasp for breath.

Nice...Them 7.3's are powerhouses that run forever! My dad had 1 from a former job.... it was a 2000 with a 7.3 and an auto. The engine finally was rebuilt for the first time after 368k miles. I wish he still had it!
