Does anyone apply a lubricant of some kind to the pins and bushings that support the plow blade, We have found removing them to change blades a rather time consuming process, it usually takes around 10 minutes per pin to knock it out with a punch and a sledge.
Would using some sort of surface grease be a good idea?

Jon,
I would recommend doing it even if you do not change the blade frequently . If your machine has some time on I am surprised you are having that kind of difficulty. A quality grease that you would use on your on the rest of the machine would be adequate.

try using some anti sieze compound.... the silver colored stuff by permatex is what I use and it works really well, seems to bond to the metal... I've found that grease or copper-coat type of anti sieze compounds tend to wash out in time and not work as well....

Thanks for the advice.
DW advertises that you never need to lubricate their bushings, but a little grease won't hurt.
