It is hazardous material training for a jobsite we are mowing. It is a waste reclamation facility and we have to have all workers with HAZMAT cards. I was wondering what to expect from the school and also how long cards are good for

I dont quite understand this at all, you and your guys need a hazmat card to MOW? where the heck are ya mowin? my understanding is that hazmat certification is for guys who haul fuels and nuke waste type stuff.

Fellas, I might be able to feel you in. The Hazmat part is just to identify hazards and to "start the process" of command. All you do is if you identify a hazard and contact the authorities. no more, no less. carrying placard cards are a good idea, really handy if your just curious what perople are hauling.

About 10 years ago a business I worked for (Powerplant) contracted out there lawnmowing. Landscapers had to wear hard hat, safety glasses, long sleeve pants/shirt, steel tip boots, ear protection, etc. at all times. If they didn't there were escorted off the property. Has to do with safety.

I just hope you planned all the extra cost into theirs!!
