Can I get some help on pricing from you guys please?


Im putting together an estimate for a church. I measured it out today at 30,000 Sq Ft roughly.


All the houses I do are 5-10,000 sq ft so Im a little confused on how to price this. My normal scale is $35 min up to 5,000 sq feet and then $5.00 per thousand after that. For example a 10,000 sq foot yard would be $60.00 per app.

From others I have talked to here they have some sort of sliding scale so as the square footage increase the prices per 1000 sq ft go down.

I have never priced anything this big but heres what I have come up with so far. Let me know what you think please.




5-10,000 Sq ft = $5.00 per thousand

10-20,000 Sq ft = $4.00 per thousand

20-30,000 Sq ft = $3.00 per thousand

30+ = $2.00 per thousand


With those figures and starting out with my minimum of $35.00 I have come up with $130.00 per application.

I think its because every other post is a question on how much to charge. no offense but it has been covered many, many times in the past. Past couple months for that matter. Your prices seem ok I would be more on the 30k lawns.:)

I can understand that. I tried doing a search but all I came up with was square footage pricing for renovating lawns and pricing apps for smaller properties.

Thanks for the help. I just another call for a property that is 107,000 sq ft so I just want to make sure Im charging enough and Im making a profit.

I wouldn't mark down your sq ft rate until you get into the 100k range of properties. My price would be 150.00 per app and I would be doing 6 apps. Explain to them the extra weed control they would get with you being on the property more often.

I have gotten a pretty cold response from grub control so far. People seem to think since they have never had it then they dont need grub control or preventative. Its expensive and they dont want to spend the money.

I don't use grub control unless I know I need to. we are 175-185 per acre here.

I always tell people that it is always to late once they realize they have grubs. Then I give them a ballpark figure on what it would cost to do an overseeding. We figure ours into our 6 app program.

I certain parts of the country it probably is standard procedure. For us, as part of IPM, we will test to see if its thought to be an issue.
