Switching to piecework or commission pay for mowing

My 2 guys are great and I would like them to benifit more when I do such as working late or when business is good.
I would like them to not feel like an hourly grunt, but like
I felt when I started 18 yrs ago, working late to beat the rain. I have a great portfolio of clients about 110 regulars
that I have worked hard to weed out the chaff.
I feel with the lack of avalible labor that without changing my customers will suffer. does anyone pay by comission or piece work?

We pay by each lawn DONE RIGHT. If it isn't, however; they do it again at no charge to the customer because it comes out of their pocket. By paying this way, people line up to work for me if there is an opening, and because we also feel that paying a little higher than we need to we can the best worker to work for us.
