I was just wondering what the best software was for keeping track of your lawns. I mow about 60-70 lawn right now and just use excel in a crude way to print invoices. I need software that will allow me to keep track of my mowing as well as being able to print off monthly invoices to use in the window envelopes.

There are many threads on this subject in the Business Section. Many use QuickBooks, others use industry specific software.

I've been using various programs in the past, but have spent time this Winter getting my business running on QuickBooks Pro. My business is a bit smaller than yours, and I was confronted with the same issue. QB will easily print invoices for window envelopes and track expenses.

Like Roger was saying there is a lot on this subject in fact 1 or 2 threads from yesterday. I use groundskeeper pro and it is very good and simple to use. Sounds like it might what you are looking for. I am switching to quickbooks pro this year as well because of growth, employeess,(payroll) and want something to track expences a little better. Groundskeeper has a free demo, check it out. Another good one is Gopher. Good luck with whatever you choose. If you have any other questions about Groundskeeper feel free to ask. Jeff

By the way KY-lawnguy, how do like your exmarks? they good in wet grass?
I know this is a little off subject for this thread, just curious though. I was looking at them, scag, and John Deere.

Just want to let you know that I PM you regarding this question. Do not want to hijack thread, so that's all.
