I've answered these two questions more times than I care to count here on Lawnsite. The most recent was just last week.

Hi smarino21,
You can also get credit card processing software. Swiping the card isn't necessary, but it can lead to reduced processing rates.

We use ADP for our payroll. I recommend them. We used them all of last year. Very friendly staff, never a mistake, taxes filed so uncle sam is off of my back and one less thing to worry about.
I call in on a wednesday, check is at my door thursday afternoon, check is handed out on friday. I'm going to try and get direct deposit going this year.

We've had Quickbooks for about 5 years now. Can accept credit cards, do payroll at home in minutes and we just added automatic deposit.
We put in the hours, it calculates payroll, taxes the whole nine yards. Produces W-2's at years end!

In addition to owning/operating Master Care Lawnscape, I am also a financial advisor. I do quite a bit of work with the green industry, setting up insurance and benefit plans.
One of the people I work with religiously is a local MI rep from ADP. Send me a PM or an e-mail with your phone number, and I'd be happy to put the two of you together..
This guy is aggressive, and has guaranteed that he can beat your current setup. He has the authority to negotiate prices down to the point where he WILL earn your business.
Drop me a line......
