Trenching Speed

How fast, as in FPM, should I expect to be able to trench with a trencher attachment on a Bobcat T190?

Edit: sorry, conditions are loamy clay, probably little to no rocks, trenching about 12" deep.

Well my experiance is limited to a ditch witch, going aobut 2 feet in, Seeing as your in clean IE no rocks situation and mounted to a skidsteer, I wouldn't worry about it, you will most likly go at least a walking pace if not faster. should be easy as pie.

You'll probably be cruising around 10 fpm. Trenching in loamy clay is about the ideal situation, you can run circles around a mini-ex in that ground. We can probably go about 20 fpm on our dedicated DitchWitch (Not a small one).

The slowdown is when your in tight area's.
