any answers to these questions? I was asking you about the rubber that you were using. If it is thin and flexible it can just drag the ground. But if hard keep it up or it may tear the turf.

oh, sorry about that.... its only incredibly flexable, it has a little play but not much, i was thinking about keeping it like an inch or so off the ground, but really dont know... and id say its less then a half inch thick

WOW that's some thick stuff. I'd say 1/2 to 1 inch. That should leave pretty good pattern.

How high are you cutting the grass? Maybe 2"-3" if so I would leave the rubber at least 1 1/2" off the ground. You only have to bend the grass over so far. I'm thinking if you leave it only a 1/2" or so it may tear up the lawn on the uneven spots. Plus to make the lawns really look good keep it cut at 3" or so.:waving:

For striping kits, is it true you are only suppose to make it the width between the wheels since the wheels make their own stripe? Like for my 48"WB, how wide should it be, i think im going to try the rubber or mat idea. Thanks

I've heard of it before, but didn't go for it. Question do you mount the rubber to the deck between the deck and rear tires?
