OK not 100% lawn care related but I figure it is a direct result of us sitting in front of this screen instead of being out working. How many of us have put weight on from December thru now?
Personally I have lost 21lbs but that has only been since about mid January and that was after topping out at a record for me. I made some big changes and now will continue the course of watching intake and getting regular exercise. I also lowered my blood pressure from 144/94 to 118/82. I feel much better. SO how about you. Did you gain/lose or stay within 5# of a constant weight. Post your own numbers.

Sorry for not having a poll, I am a little slow this morning and forgot to click the box. It was then majorly impossible to modify. Now get on those treadmills, the busy spring season is coming!!!!

I have gained a considerable amount. This is in part due to the fact that I hurt my shoulder towards the end of last season and could no longer workout other than work. My eating habits really stink. I would say that I gained around 20. I will work it back off though once season starts. I have done it before, so I'll do it again. Just need to start :weightlifter: and:walking: again.

Not proud to admit it, but I definitely hit a new high this offseason, probably gained around 20 lbs. But I have been slowly working my way back into better shape for the season, I didnt want to wait till the season starts to lose weight. I have so far lost almost 15 lbs of what I had gained :clapping: , almost there, cant wait to start working again.

Low-carb diet has been great for me. Lost weight, cholestoral (sp?) lowered, blood pressure lowered...

Also, I finally got the old rowing machine out.

I'm another guilty one. I packed on about 20 to 25 lbs. due to poor eating habits, quitting smoking, and sitting on my butt all day in front of a computer. Time to break out the mountain bike. Perfect weather for riding.

I really have no idea on a # but, I know I have gained a few lbs back from last summer. I keep myself in check by going to the gym and training 2x's a week. I figure I'll lose what I put on then some when I start working again.

mmmm, prolly 8-10#. I don't like it, but I'm too lazy to do anything about it.

don't worry, though. It'll be gone by mid-may, and all the girlies will be sayin' I'm pretty fly for a white guy :headphones:

I've put on 10-15. The same as every winter during sophomore, junior and now senior year. It's all gonna go right back off once I start working again this spring. I like to take advantage of not having to work my arse off during winter like I have done all the past summers

The girlfriend can't wait til june.....

Last year, about this time, I went to the store to buy "fat" pants. This year I'm watching what I eat. Telling my daughter stop bringing home ice cream from the dairy where she works seems to do the trick.

Too cold for biking, besides, when learning to drive last fall, my daughter engaged the excellerator on my jeep instead of the brake, hit my trailer, and torpedoed my lawn business through my garage (1,100 in damages to front end of vehicle, 6 destroyed bikes, trailer & equipment unscathed).

Our treadmill is in the garage, only works when it's above freezing. I used to run outside, but winter is a nightmare, all ice and mud and no sidewalks.

The worst part is losing the muscle in the off season. I like getting paid to excersize.

To all you younger guys with the "It'll come off again when summer gets here"... That changes as you get older! :dizzy:

NOT that I am an old man. No matter what my kids say. :)

this is my first winter of no weight gain after losing 70 lbs last year. no chips, snacks or caloric drinks, 3 healthy meals a day with small portions and a couple of apples a day. its hard and it sucks, but it is well worth it.

Same as every year. 30 to 40 pounds. End of season 200 now three weeks into season 230. I guess I would really be in trouble if I had a long off season.

I'm going into the "Spring Training" mode now, 5 lbs lighter then last September, thanks to some off season training after the holidays.
But I'm also a year older, so i'll be a bit sore for the first few weeks. :dancing:

I gained about 15lbs this winter, it all went to my chest and BELLY. When was younger I could eat whatever and it was cool, now it's like everything I eat I feel the effects. They say when you get into your 20's your metabolism slows down.

Mike that is too funny. That is the kind of thing that you expect to see on an Insurance TV commercial. I'll be your agent chuckled a bit. Hope nobody got hurt though.

I gave up soda for Lent and i gained 7 pounds on top of my 10 pounds already gained. I love being 21 though. I will lose it in about 3 weeks.:walking: :walking:

Dropped 15 lbs back in early winter, bulked up to my old weight (mostly muscle gain, probably 75% muscle gain) and now I'm down 20lbs again. Winter is the best time to try and get into shape if your out of shape, nothing to do but watch what you eat, you can put your workouts whenever and stress is low.

I pogo between 143 and 153 depending on hydration and if I skipped a meal.

I actually tried to gain weight this winter, but only got about 4 lbs. Upto a solid 149.

Yeah I know. and for those who say wait until I get older. 36 should be old enough right.
