Just wondering if anyone here has done it.

If so, what did you use??

I saw one of the larger national chains using it on a Home Depot here last year, painting all the mulch "Home Depot" orange.

In our area we have dyed mulch :red(yuck) brown ,and black are prevelant.
In State College (Penn State,Happy Valley) some people are using blue mulcH:dizzy:

Yeah, I know about the dyed mulch. I'm talking about taking a handheld sprayer, with something mixed, and spraying the mulch, much like if you were spraying the weeds with glyphosate.

Sounds to me like they may have been spraying a pre-emergant called surflan it is really orange and if it is a strong mix it would look like paint and on the mulch it would hold its color.

Sounds like a good idea. Id like to get some feedback too from some people that have used it.

Sounds like a pretty quick easy way to make some money depending on the cost of the stuff.

lesco also carries the dye. i was starting to look into as well. seems like an affordable way for a customer to spruce up the yard without paying the price for mulch ever year. ill probaly try some out and ill post how it goes.

Get some Textraw (synthetic pinestraw) and it will last for years.

It's just another option.

If someone wants to be on the cheap, and doesn't care whether the mulch has any beneficial attributes, you could give this up as an option....
