Well, since I was out running around today I saw gas anywhere from 2.35 to 2.45. What are the rest of you seeing? Like in the industry poll forum I see gas going over the $3 a gallon again this year that is for sure.

For those who live in the areas housing the refineries, and may have a bit more insight into the pricing, when will the dip be at the low point? Or, do you think we are there about now, with any changes in the near future to be upward?

About $2.15 for 87 south of Pittsburgh is the common price.

I was in Sunoco the other day and the guy said they raised it twice that day because the district manger said $2.29 was to low so they raise to $2.39 then to $2.49. It's not because of the President. It's those TREE HUGGING D-------s the refuse to let us drill in Alaska and also build new refineries in the U.S. If you think the price will go down if a D------t would get into office ,than you need to wake up. Some countries are paying 2 & 3 Times what we are paying. So I guess in your opinion the President is responsible for that also:cry:   I hope it goes above $3.50. Any way heres the latest news on oil

Oil Prices Drop on OPEC Demand Forecast

Monday, March 20, 2006
SINGAPORE - Oil prices slid in Asian electronic trading on Monday after OPEC last week lowered its demand forecast for this year and amid signs that U.S. crude oil inventories are growing.

Light sweet crude for April delivery dropped 22 cents to $62.55 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. On Friday, oil dropped 81 cents to settle at $62.77 a barrel after a big jump on the previous day on news over a U.S.-led attack in Iraq and U.S. concerns over Iran.

May Brent on London's ICE Futures gained 24 cents to $63.50 a barrel.

Nymex gasoline futures fell 1.21 cents to $1.8480 per gallon. Heating oil futures dropped 0.49 cents to $1.7764 a gallon. Natural gas futures fell 5.4 cents to $6.999 per 1,000 cubic feet.--------- Then what in hell are we still paying 2.55 or more at the pump then CROOKS

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries lowered its forecast Friday for global oil demand growth in 2006 by 110,000 barrels a day. OPEC, which cited lower consumption in the U.S. and Asia, said its prediction comes after signs of larger oil inventories in the U.S., along with higher demand in January and February.

OPEC set oil demand growth for this year at 1.46 million barrels a day and demand for the year at 84.5 million barrels a day. This brings its estimate in line with recent revisions by agencies such as the International Energy Agency and the Energy Information Administration.-- (Opec set the demand growth ???? see right their the ass's admit it) .

The U.S. Energy Department's weekly report last week showed crude oil inventories rose by 4.8 million barrels last week to 339.9 million barrels, or 10 percent above year-ago levels.

Oil prices are about 12 percent higher than a year ago, reflecting worries about the stability of supplies from Iran, Nigeria and elsewhere.

Hydrogen, coal, electric cars...etc, etc...

Coal is plentiful, they say... Yeah, until you need 80 million barrels / day.

Electricity ... I hope they plan on building hydroelectric and nuclear power plants everywhere. Most electric plants are driven by, you guessed it: Petrol. So, the electricity produced to power these cars comes, once again, from where? Yeah...

Ethanol, same as coal, plenty of it until you need 80 million barrels / day. And what do the machines burn that are used to harvest this ethanol? Well, it ain't cow farts.

Hydrogen is a total joke. It takes about as much energy to extract the hydrogen than the energy the gas produces. And guess how the energy that extracts hydrogen is created? Correct, by burning fossil fuel.

Last but not least, a car needs a certain amount of power to propel itself. A 2000-pound auto will not move at a point, so you have to give it something, and what is there that we have enough of to dish out the soon-to-be-needed 100+ million barrels / day, or that doesn't take energy to produce? The simple answer is nothing, they will pump petrol until we run out.

Actually, we'll never run out... It will just get so expensive that nobody can afford it, but look at traffic any given day: People complain about the price of fuel, but do they curb their driving habits? NO, the roads are jam packed full of cars, some lady the other day complaining how her SUV took $75 / week, I'm sitting here thinking my D-250 with all my equipment runs on only slightly more than that, so what does this say? Not until fuel takes a 50-cent+ hike in a few days does it calm down, I almost welcome 4 dollars a gallon just so I got some ROOM when I actually get to go out.

Until you leave your car in the driveway 5 out of 7 days a week, I don't even want to hear it.

It was on the north side on Sunbury road rite around the Hoover reservoir. There is a station by my wife's work that is close to the airport and they are always like 15-20 cents higher so I would imagine they are over $3 a gallon now!! The wife is off this week or I would know for sure, I could go down and look myself but it is like 12 or 13 miles away and the thought of spending around $6.00 for a 24 mile round trip depresses me to much

They set off a price war. $2.55 a gal about 4-5 weeks ago when prices were $2.90ish everyone in town had to drop to $2.55, so for the last month they have been keeping it low in town, compared to if you go out toward the interstate to buy gas, out there it can be a 30 cent difference. I like it thou, it eliminates the nonsense, you fill up what you need without the price pestering you. Plus, nobody but you, if anyone else shows up it will be some 18-wheeler or like vehicle. No standing in line to pay, no sudden 'customers' come walking up to you.

I like it a lot, one bill a month, even gives you the mpg so no more time wasted figuring this.

I was out camping this weekend and gas was cheaper on the turnpike and at my deastination. Regular around town is $2.99-$3.05 a gallon. Where I was camping was aboput 100 miles away and regular was $2.84 a gallon. It was also $2.84 on the turnpike near Allentown.

Hey Mike,

Got gas from Kroger's for 2.59 sign said 2.79, keep shopping at Giant Eagle or Kroger and use those discounts.

JP

I hear you Jpp,

I try and remember to use the stores with the discount cards now, but the only one near by is Giant Eagle no Kroger gas stations that I know of any where close.

But did you see the Jump today, it was $2.71 when I went to work and $2.99-3.05 on the way home. I know I have said it before but I can not understand how there can be a 30 cent jump like that in such a short period of time.It makes absolutely no sense as far as I am concerned.

Hey Mike,

All I have to say is Holy Snikeys. I saw it for 2.79 this morning when I left Grandview. Up on Indianola I saw it for 2.66. Then over on Kenny Road 3.05. Then the truck that is full decides to bust a brake line. Limp the rest of the day with that truck. Go to Rome Hilliard and found gas for 2.76 at Sam's for the second truck witch was on fumes. Wtf is up with that. Spent the past two hours filling up vehicles, and gas cans because of course every thing was out. Time to print some more customers bills to make up for what I spent in gas. :waving:

think it is high now jsut wait saw on the news where crude oil has hit anothe all time record high this time it is at $75.12 per barrel or some where close to that price I see $3.00 plus per gal in the next month if not sooner. it is $2.899 for 87 octane gas and $3.049 for diesel unless you go to the Citago and buy that Venesulan oil crap which come from that idot that hates the USA .
CITGO's parent company, Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), and its participation in several joint ventures, they have an effective refining capacity of more than 1.1 million barrels per day.

I was around town and why every other station around town keeps raisng prices, the same station in trevose that I posted about earlier is still $2.99 for regular. I had to wait close to a 1/2 hour before I got a pump but it was worth it. The lowest priced stations in other areas is $3.11 a gallon and I have seen it as much as $3.24 a gallon for regular.

Still about 3.17 here for regular

The EPA gas mileage estimates for the 2006 Toyota Prius are 60 mpg city/51 mpg highway/55 mpg combined. From what i have heard though (think there was a tv show on it) the hybrid cars havnt been living up to what they claim on the mpg's. They have only been running half to sometimes 3/4's of the claimed mpg, which is still a lot better then a normal car.

Cindy &Chavez
Venezuela Dictator Vows To Bring Down U.S. Government

Venezuela government is sole owner of Citgo gasoline company

Venezue la Dictator Hugo Chavez has vowed to bring down the U.S. government. Chavez, president of Venezuela, told a TV audience: "Enough of imperialist aggression; we must tell the world: down with the U.S. empire. We have to bury imperialism this century."

The guest on his television program, beamed across Venezuela, was Cindy Sheehan, the antiwar activist. Chavez recently had as his guest Harry Belafonte, who called President Bush "the greatest terrorist in the world."

Chavez is pushing a socialist revolution and has a close alliance with Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.

Regardless of your feelings about the war in Iraq, the issue here is that we have a socialist dictator vowing to bring down the government of the U.S. And he is using our money to achieve his goal!

The Venezuela government, run by dictator Chavez, is the sole owner of Citgo gas company Sales of products at Citgo stations send money back to Chavez to help him in his vow to bring down our government.

Take Action

Please decide that you will not be shopping at a Citgo station. Why should U.S. citizens who love freedom be financing a dictator who has vowed to take down our government?

Very important. Please forward this to your friends and family. Most of them don't know that Citgo is owned by the Venezuela government.

YOU CAN VERIFY THIS ON THE CITGO WEB PAGE.
