Prior to my brake job, they were grinding pretty bad and one of my wheels has a gold tint now. Anyone know a product that will take that brake dust off?

maybe try some simple green that stuff works wonders.

simple green will destroy the wheels.
Be careful if you use it.
Use a wheel cleaner like mag wheel cleaner, That would be first. I did the same thing to my integra but luckily i own bronze rims, The rust is hard to get off.
Or try aluminum polish on a rag or a buffer. Try the rag first.

We use polish for aluminum wheels. It will make your hands black, calous your fingers and is alot of work, but you will be able to see your reflection in the wheels when you are done. The polish is pretty much at any good auto parts store.

Try a local detail shop.

I have the same problem on my Dodge. Have not tried chrome polish yet but, I can definitely tell you, don't waste your money on any of those products that come in spray bottles that say they are for cleaning wheels. I've tried them all from every auto parts store.

if you go to a tractor trailer truck wash just give 'em a 5er and ask them to put alumabrite on it. only leave it for like 30 seconds or so that stuff is very caustic and will turn polished aluminum white if you dont scrub it and get it right off.

Well I used Turtle-Wax Wheel Cleaner to penetrate the rust, then used a wire brush to losen it up and some towels to scrub it off. Then some Aluminum Polish! I can see my relflection on those bad boys now!
Still working on the trailer hitch.......... :dizzy:
