I guess in this day and age any WB mower with 68 hrs on it is a good deal ,and with a set of wheels... jump on it.

14 hp is not enough for a 48" under certain mowing conditions. I'd pass this one up or see if you can just purchase the Jungle Wheels.

my 15hp 48" cuts just fine.. don't see why a 14 wouldn't.

I had a 14hp 48" Snapper hydro with a sulky. I did not really have a problem with the 14hp on it. I will say a 17hp on a 48 seems more fitting.

That should be one of the Chinese-made machines built under 6 or 7 different names. Former names were Landscaper Supply and Blackrock. Current names are Beyers, Havener Enterprises, Redhawk, and 3 or 4 more brand names I can not think of right now.
Very low budget, just barely commercial quality, machines.

I think I'd pass on it and Byers myself a brand name mower that I can get parts for.

I think at one point (and I'm not sure at which point this was or is) Byers was very similar to Bunton walk behinds, but I'm not positive on that. Its been a while since i've seen one of either brand but I was thinking they were similar. 14hp will be ok for 48"... you can live with that a season or two then upgrade. Even if its not just like the Bunton, you can probably live with it for a while.

Stan Byers was pres. of Bunton from 74-93. In 93 he started Byers Gold. Manufacturer of Com. Mowers.

I can see you have never used a Sutech. It's not worth a crap at any price.
