View Full Version : Is 27 too cold for sprayer?

I had about 30 gallons of 3-way left over from this afternoons applications and plan to use it in the morning. I just heard that the temperatures are getting around 27 or 28 degrees, and just realized my sprayer is in my truck from this afternoon and is sitting outside the house. What would you do? Will this be ok or should I somehow get heat on it (maybe with an electric blanket)?

You sure don't want that chemical to freeze in your pump. When it thaws it may crack the housing. If you can't empty it, at least cover it. JMO

Do you have some soluable MOP on hand?
If so you can put that in your tank and it will prevent freezing. I've never tried this, but a friend who has been in the business for years told me this trick.
He says it won't freeze up due to the salt content.
