hey guys, im about to buy a new string trimmer and edger and was wondering which brand yall have found to prefer more? Thanks for the advice.

you mean redmax right?, But for i redmax i would recommend bcz2400s, or
bcz2600s, both strato charged string trimmer, i have the bcz2400s and i love it it the prefect trimmer.

Don't count out Stihl or Shindaiwa. The best trimmer Echo made was the 2601 but, due to the new emission standards they are gone.

I prefer Shindaiwa. IMHO they hold up much better than Stihl. As for the Redmax I've never used one, but there blowers are great.
Stihl Dealer support is good, and can be found just about anywhere.

The 261T is a far better unit and is still a true 2 stroke with an adjustable carb. It has a new high torque gear head and can pull a longer length of string than the previous machine. I have many of both model.

I agree.... Shinny makes great commercial products that are used and loved by alot of professionals on this forum.

sorry, redmax. Two reasons i have narrowed it down to those two. One is the dealer is a 30 second walk from my house, and two I was told the new stihl engines are going to be very complicated and more likely to break down. Thanks again.
