Redmax 8000 has the strato charged engine and my dealer told me to stay away from these. but the 7000 is the older engine and is very reliable.

Another very satisfied Echo customer here.

We use the PB-650's and just purchased 2 new PB-751's for spring clean ups.

We used to use only stihl. In fact we have 4 of them we use, and 2 for parts, but we have now switched to shindawa's. The eb630 is great. One time we were doing some leaf cleanup and two guys were using stihls and when we pulled in we had the eb630. Needless to say when 630 started blowing the guys with the stihls walked the other way. It blow them away. If you do get a shindawa's stay away from the 4 stroke. We have 4 stroke weedeater and it's a dog. Lacks the power.

We use only RedMax EB7001 units. Never let us down and will blow a brick on concrete.

How about the Echo PB-403 for residential use?

The PB-403 would be excellent for home use especially for only $299!

Since you asked about best blower for the money..I vote with ThirdDay. I got my Echo 403t for just over $220.00 with shipping brand new. Got a RedMax 7001 as well, but much more than the 403t. So if you can get a good deal on a 403t, take it. Yet, I have seen some good deals on other blowers!

Care to tell me where you got the Echo 403T for $220? The 403T has the throttle trigger on the left hip side, right?

403t has the throttle on the tube. My deal came on Ebay. I am sure others will be there.

My only trick on ebay is to search the buy it now option and look early in the morning, like at 5:00 a.m. for a week or so, before the feeding frenzy. Many sellers products are posted overnight and not viewed.

The best deals are gone in under an hour.

I have a $50 gift card to Home Depot. PB-403T goes for $299, so I can use my giftcard towards it. I will search on ebay and see what's out there.
