1st time with dingo

I rented a Toro dingo tx420

I found the dingo to be a great machine when I used one for the first time yesterdayon a clients property. I moved large boulders around easily and carried them up steeper than recommended slopes (had to chain a few into the bucket) but the machine never skipped a beat.

My wife wanted some new beds at home so instead of bringing out the big tractor to strip the sod I played with it at home today (purposly rented it on a saturday so I could keep it free on sunday) and it did ok at that. The bucket dumped all the way out and set in the float mode smoothed out some other areas for me nice if i backed up with it.

I ws destined to play more! I took it out back in the pasture at my ranch and used it to lift some 6x6 posts out of the ground where my cow chute used to be before katrina stole it. Worked well for this altho I had to bump them a few times. I went to push a pile of debris with it just to see how it would do..Bunch of cottom mouths came out so we canned that idea lol I would rather be off the ground when working in a snake area.

If i had more need for something so compact I would definatly consider buying one. Rental cost here is 125 for a day including any 1 attachment. You need to be careful on grass with it as it will definatly compact soft turf and leave rutts altho it was absolutly fine on the clients lawn as long as I took a leaf rake to it after.

Definatly a workhorse if your even considering it I would definatly go rent one. If anything its alot of fun if you live in the country!

The Dingo is one of the best pieces of equipment to come out of Toro. I feel you got an excellent rental rate also!

Will that size handle the tiller attachment?

i think so... if im not mistaken this is the larger model. I think yardpro has the power rake i was going to rent also but they didnt have it

I have not operated all of the attachments but if they are like the tiller - they're animals. I used one couple of years ago and tilled up a gravel driveway that had been a gravel driveway for well over 50 years. The Dingo ate it up

If you like the dingo. Try the ramrod sometime. Yeah I know the name sounds like it is straight out of a porn. But this is a serious workhorse. The company that has been making these has been doing it for at least 20 years. They are very popular on the west coast but are finally getting to the east coast. I am not a saleman just someone who has tried one. My personal opinion is they walk all over the dingo:weightlifter: :hammerhead: :weightlifter: :clapping:

I always rented the bobcat MT52. Whats' that compared to the toro dingos?

I have never used the bobcat or the ramrod. Was just sharing y experience with the toro. I would definatly test others if I was going to buy 1 but since I was just renting for a day and the price was only 125 I jumped on the toro. I love my other toro equipment as well. I definatly wanted a tracked model due to the slops we had to work on. Seemed to do really good on the turf as well. There is one spot I will need to put a little top dressing on that I noticed yesterday but the homeowner didnt say a word. maybe half a bag of topsoil
