I didn't have nothing to do today so i called around and got a couple a free estimates from some lawn boys jokers today. And it was fun,,,these are guys in the local area. Anyway the one guy had a clause i never seen before. It said, 10 day cancellation notice by mail and a 50 dollar fee with that if you cancel in the middle of the season. Who else does that??? It's seems like no one would sign some thing like that.

I have a 2 week notice of cancellation clause in my proposal/agreement.
I have never had to use it, even when 2 new customers cancelled last season because of my labor, mulch, etc. prices being higher than the others. I figured if they did not want me, then good riddens.:hammerhead: :waving:

The cancellation clause is mainly for new customers thinking they could get stuff done cheaper and cancelling me.

I had a cancellation clause....but then I had prorated all my services into equal payments over teh course of the whole year. so if someone cancelled before the year was up, i needed to recoup costs of the prorated services. it's farily common..

30 day written or verbal cancelation, if not done, charge one month service. Has worked for us really well.

Don't you have better things to do with your time than running around proverbially flattening other people's tires? Only reason I'm saying is, one day you may get caught by some veteran Lco who no longer shares your sense of humour but even if you don't, what goes around must come around.
