Well yesterday i was at my husqvarna dealer and they told me that Truegreen will now be switching to all husky products. I thought that was amazing seening how husky doesnt get much play from many LCO.

That's probably why they did it. They dropped their pants to get the exposure (no pun intended). It won't be a money maker for them but it will at least get them seen. Personally it's Yazoo/Kee's/Blue Bird/AYP equipment that's branded for them. They only truly make the 2-cycle stuff. I actually own a couple of their chainsaws and I like them. I can't see myself ever buying anything else of theirs though.

Its probly because TruGreen Landcare is'nt doing so well and they need to save money. So insted of paying nearly $12,000 for an Exmark Lazer Z, they are going to pay more like $8,000.

Next year they'll be using craptsman.

LOL... Maybe, I know at one time they had about six divisions of Landcare with twenty+ crews here in Minnesota. A buddy of mine worked for them, now they are down to one and they only have two mowing crews.

I thought True-Green did not do residential (mowing)?? I know they have a land-care division but that was only for commercial.

We have a big bid opening today here at our City's purchasing Dept. It is a 2 year contract for mowing parks and other city facilities. Currently, TG has about 1/3 of this work, at prices so low I don't see how they can even cover their fuel bill. It will be really interesting to see if they again bid at these lowball numbers.
If they bid everything below cost again this time, they may very well be running Crapsman equipment out here soon, as their pricing sure won't cover the cost of quality equipment.

They got rid of the residential part in 2002 I think, in MN anyway.

Speaking of slashing prices, they bid $10,500 on a job that had been being done for $21,000. someone needs to :hammerhead:

Here in Indy, TruGreen subs out all of their mowing. I did an apartment complex for them last season while they fertilized. I didn't get the contract this year (and neither did they) because someone undercut me by $500 for the year. now I don't konw if TG raised the price of the contract to get some more money and that's why I lost it, but I don't really care because the complex was a mother to cut. I'm glad I don't have to mow it this season, but the money was good. Anyways, here they sub out everything.
