Help!!! Over last mowing season i thik i left a few dirty clothes in my truck for too long and for a while now the truck has begin to smell. It has gotten to the point where i cant leave anything in there overnight becuause like mildew and grass for a week. I had my truck detailed and that masked the smell but not for very long. I think i am going to get new carpet in the bottom of the truck but i was going to see if anybody on here knew any old housewives tricks to get rid of the smell. I hope it is not in the seats because those would cost alot of $ to replace but i have to do something because i start to smell after ive been in the truck for too long!!!!! AHHHHH:dizzy:

Seinfeld could not even sell his car after the valet stunk it up with BO. Good luck trying to clean it.

Get you a can of Lysol disinfectant and spray it "alot" everyday for a few days. If you have cloth seats, "soak" them when spraying. Daily use will help get rid of the smell.:usflag:

The title to this thread reminds me so much of an episode of 'Friends'...Smelly cat, smelly cat!

I used to drive this old chevy that never stunk until we had it detailed. The only way we got rid of the smell, was by putting it up in the auction that we go to and sold it to some poor guy who had no idea how bad the stink was.

Sprinkle cinnamon in your truck. Have used it in garages and on dogs for skunks and have used it in 50,000 sq. ft. supermarkets for ammonia spills.

Carpet + cloth seats = smelly truck.

Vinyl on the floor and seats is the ONLY practical combo for a work truck. Get a good seat cover (nothing worse than HOT vinyl in the summer) and your set, NO more smelly truck.

PS Get yourself a nice truck (wall to wall carpet, if you choose) for kickin' around town.

Send it to my mother in-law, if she can't get the smell out, it's time to throw the truck away!!!

If you do remove the carpet, why not replace it with rubber flooring?
