About $3.25 per foot. Debris removal is extra.

$3.25 is for creating a new bed edge with a Trenchmaster edger. Price goes down to about $2.20 per foot when we do more than 500 feet. Most of the work is commercial or high end residential.
I was thinking 1.25 a foot for edging. Give or take a few cents.

We include bed edging once a season with out spring cleanups. We don't charge by linear ft, but rather on an hourly charge while we are on the property. :)

There is no way you are getting $3.25 a ft. It would be nice but if I charged $3.25 a ft. That means the "high end" residential I just signed would be charged $2275.00 just to edge his flower beds. Around here its more like, $0.75 if that.

i cannot believe the $3.25 a foot either... if so, that's awesome, but i cannot believe it.
500' would take a few hours at the most, cleanup and everything.
if you are getting $500.00/hr with that machine, then i would only do edging, screw the mowing, etc.

Like I said before $3.25 is for creating a new bed edge, not touching up the edge on an existing bed. Just about all of our installations use plastic or steel edging as oposed to a natural edge. This job is usually part of a larger landscape project so the customer never sees that price, just a lump sum for the whole project. As far as maintenance of bed edges I don't know what we charge for that since I am in the construction division. I'm sure it's closer to what you guys are talking about.
