Any advice on how to remove dead turf caused from grub damage? I will slitseed after but need to get the dead turf off first. The stuff lifts off easily by hand but would like to usr something faster than rakes if possible. The area is about 8K sq. ft total, about 4 smaller areas. I was thinking possibly a Shindaiwa power broom or JRCO dethatcher. Thanks . Matt

I agree with brad, dethatcher, rake, overseed, fert and cover with straw the real bare spots.
