I bought a 03, 225 GH with 1100 hours on it from a friend of mine. It is in good shape and has had regular maintance. How many hours can I expect to get out of the tranny's and engine?

You really need to use Grasshopper Hydro Fluid in that trans. system.
Mobile 15w50, synthetic will also work, but the Grasshopper fluid is better, as it has some additives to help get extended life from that transmission.

The previous owner said he ran a mobil 1 synthetic blend. He said he worked at our local GH dealership and that the mobil blend was fine. Would it be ok to change to the Grasshopper oil after he has ran the blend? I want to run what is best!!!

Yes, you can go back to the Grasshopper oil. It will not hurt anything. Or, you can just stick with the Mobil synthetic.

Engine should last 2000-3000 hours with regular maintenance. if you run Synthetic oil that will extend the life. I'm really not sure on the hydro system. Should easily last 3000 hours or maybe longer.

Is the GH tranny oil a synthetic?

Yes, the newer type oil is. It is called "Grasshopper fluid". The oil for the older Gemini trans. was not synthetic. It was a DTE-type oil.

Would I need to change the fuild more than once to get out all the mobil oil?

Well, ther will still be some of the old oil in the hoses, pumps and motors. However, with one change, you will probably end up with a mix of 90% Grasshopper Fluid, and 10% Mobil synthetic. I have asked the factory about this, and they say it is not a problem if you have a little of the remaining synthetic oil mixed in.
