:dizzy: Ok so I asked about the 24 B&G and thanks for the posts but what about compared to the Kaw 23 Hp. I am getting the 48 inch scag tiger cub and i dont know if i should get the 23 Hp. kaw. or give the B&G a chance. Please give me something here.

I have the 23 k on my JD and never had a problem with it, just change the oil and clean the air filter and you will have no regrets

A lot of guys here seem to like the B&G's because of their big blocks. Given a choice to me: hands down it would be the Kawasaki.

HEY BOSS. I CHECKED OUT THE SAME DEAL WITH MY LOCAL SCAG DEALER. THEY HAD LAST YEARS MODEL WITH THE 18HORSE KAW AND THE NEW ONE WITH THE 24 HORSE B&S. WHILE TRYING TO STAY IMPARTIAL, THE REP SEEMED TO REALLY LOVE THE KAW AND SEEMED TO HAVE SOME REAL DOUBTS ABOUT THE NEW B&G. THE ONLY THING HE SAID REALLY PROMISING ABOUT THE BRIGGS IS THAT BRIGGS HAS SET UP A WHOLE DIVISION TO DEAL WITH GETTING THE SCAG ACCOUNT BACK AND KEEPING IT. HE SAID THAT THEY PROMISED NO PROBLEMS WITH THE NEW BRIGGS MOTOR AND IF THEIR WAS, THEY WOULD HANDLE IT EXTREAMLY FAST. THAT IS NICE TO HEAR, BUT TO ME THAT SAYS THAT IF YOU HAVE TO WORK THAT HARD TO GET THE ACCOUNT THAT I SHOULD BE PURCHASING THE KAW. OUT OF CURIOSITY, WHAT IS YOU DEALER SELLING HIS TIGER CUB FOR? I WAS LOOKING AT A 48" AND HE WAS TELLING ME THAT HE WOULD SELL IT TO ME FOR $6k EVEN. THIS SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD DEAL, BUT JUST TRYING TO GET A FEELER TOO.

We have a 19 Kawasaki on our Scag Tiger Cub, I would get the Kawasaki over the briggs. The Kawasaki has the Donaldson Air filter where the Briggs doesn't.
