This may be a stupid question but, say im selling my customers a 5 application Fertilizing Program is it ok to use Scotts Brand Fertilizer to use on their yards or is there a legal situation i should be aware of?

If you are not a certified applicater and you get caught you have problems.:nono:

It depends on the state. In Florida it is legal to apply straight fert.

You should check the regs for your state.

i live in KCMO and i was told it is legal to apply straight fert, does that exclude Scotts Crabgrass Preventer with halts, or Scotts weed control,
just an ol' bag of fert i bought from lowes

If it kills weeds it is a pesticide, and is therefore not just straight fert. You must be licensed for this.

how many people dont know about the legalities of this situation, i really though it was general knowledge, but i guess there are alot of people who dont know.....
yea you dont wnat to get in trouble for this.... gets real expensive i hear...:)
