What is that white thing in the 1st pic..is that snow?
I just hope it's not a rock.Single rock placements like that drive me nuts?Looks like you did good work there.Basic and simple design..I just wish people would start wanting a little more out of their gardens than foundation plantings! For too many years customers have been brainwashed by looking at their neighbors into thinking all that will look good is a row of plants in front and it could be sooo much more than that.I want my customers to see the garden from the windows not look over it onto the lawn I want the lawn and the garden to mingle and live together in harmony and visual beauty.
Looks real nice.
Sorry has nothing to do with you I am just expressing myself...continue as you were..sorry again

The white thing is a fake rock they had there covering a well head. As far as boulders , I really think they look nice in the proper locations. We installed around the perimeter of both homes as well as some tree plantings out in the yard. : Thanks:drinkup:

Usually, I would hide something like that with plant material. It was there, so I used it. Thanks for the input:)

how much would you charge for the second pic to install the parts in front of house (1)Mohawk Viburnum 48" $85.00- $100.00 installed, (4) Media Densiformis Globe Yews 24-32" @ $80.00 each installed, (1) Dwarf Alberta Spruce 42-48" $100.00 installed, Half yard mulch say $30.00 16' edging @ $2.50/ft. and of course the removal of the existing plant material....it was a jungle around this whole house, but the front took us about an hour @ $55.00/ man hour to remove all and prepare the bed. Somewhere around 630.00-675.00 about 2.5-3 hrs...... total profit around $400.00-450.00:usflag: Hope this helps

Any reason for using so many taxus? I dont know i just never really got into that plant. It does nothing for me really. Do you not get vibirnum leaf beetle in IN?. That could be a future problem. I do like your work though. Nothing personal, I just have a few questions. Thanks

Why did you use the plastic edging? You have to go what the customer wants......ya know? I would say though, :usflag: a majority of the installs we do use steel edging.

Thanks[/QUOTE I used the yews in front because they wanted something green in the front all year long. You must go with what the customer wants.:) As far as the Viburnum, no problems with them at all. I use a lot of Viburnums in my installs. Mainly the Mohawk and the Chicago Luster. :usflag: Thanks for the input
