View Full Version : Interesting...
Well, today I was changing all of the spark plugs on my equipment. After changing all of the plugs on my 2 Kawasaki V-Twin engines, I noticed that both of the plugs on the right side of the engine (when viewed from engine front) had a little more carbon on them than the plugs on the left side. Since both of the engines had the same thing, I figure it's normal, is it? The engines run just fine.

Never really noticed something like that unless their was a complaint of the engine was running bad, But I do have a hunch as to why if you can post a model # so I can verify.

They're a 2003 Kawasaki FH451V and a Kawasaki FH381V KAI engine.

I believe it may have to do with the crankcase breather hose being mounted on the left side, With the extra air flow being pulled through the carb. could be causing the left side to run a little cooler. If both engines were running fine I wouldn't really worry about it.
